Recycling

Polk County has two regional recycling centers located in Crookston and Fosston. Community Collection sites are also located in most incorporated municipalities within Polk County. The only change to the Crookston transfer station facility is that recycling is only accepted during normal business hours (Monday 7am-7pm) and (Tuesday-Friday 7am-5:30pm). 

Accepted Items

The following materials are accepted at all regional and community recycling centers:

• Aluminum
• Cardboard (OCC)
• Glass
• Magazines
• News Print
• Office Paper
• Plastic
• Steel/Tin Cans
