Information Systems (IS)

The Department of Information Systems is headed by the Management Information Systems Director, who reports directly to the County Administrator. The IS Department provides internal technical services and support to Polk County departments and tenant agencies, with responsibility over all County information systems processes and infrastructure including:

Our Mission

The mission of the IS Department is to promote and maintain the accessibility, availability, integrity, and performance of information systems through innovation, process improvement, effective leveraging of existing systems, and strategic implementation of advanced technologies to achieve increases in efficiencies, sustainability, and maximized Return On Investment (ROI) for Polk County.
