Watercrafts include:
License & Registration
To obtain a watercraft license and registration, the owner must provide:
- Applicants driver’s license
- Hull material
- Motor size
- Signed bill of sale from owner
- Watercraft length
- Watercraft make
- Watercraft model
- Watercraft serial number (Hull number)
- Watercraft year
Transfers
To transfer a watercraft, the transfer must be executed on a Minnesota or foreign state title. A watercraft license is valid for three years. For detailed information, visit the Department of Natural Resources website.
All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs)
ATV-1
All-terrain vehicles (ATVs) are motorized flotation-tired vehicles with 3 to 6 low pressure tires, an engine displacement of less than 800 cubic centimeters and a total dry weight of less than 900 pounds.
ATV-2
All-terrain vehicles (ATVs) are motorized flotation-tired vehicles with 3 to 6 low pressure tires, an engine displacement of less than 800 cubic centimeters and a total dry weight of 900 to 1500 pounds.
To obtain an ATV license and registration, the owner must provide:
- ATV Make
- ATV Model
- ATV Year
- ATV Serial Number
- ATV Engine Size
- ATV dry weight
- Applicants driver’s license
- Signed bill of sale from owner
Valid License & Registration
